It is extremely important that people realize where their tax dollars are going in regards to the new administration's "stimulus" plan. Exactly how will any of these help to "stimulate" the economy? The fact is that the spending policy will lead to a rapidly increasing and unsustainable deficit. Also note that the geniuses that came up with this admit that a majority of infrastructure projects will take too long to implement.
•$4.19 billion in slush funds for ACORN, the left-wing advocacy group best known for allegations of voter fraud during the 2008 presidential campaign
•$600 million to buy brand new cars for government bureaucrats
•$335 million for adult sex workshops...this is the only thing the word "stimulate" might be used for.
•$150 million for honeybee insurance
•$2.8 billion for the US Department of Agriculture in a misdirected program more likely is spent to build unnecessary broadband internet services in urban areas than in the rural areas that lack service.
•$650 million for digital TV coupons.
•$6 billion for colleges/universities - many of which have billion dollar endowments.
•$166 billion in direct aid to states - many of which have failed to budget wisely.
•$50 million in funding for the National Endowment of the Arts.
•$44 million for repairs to U.S. Department of Agriculture headquarters.
•$200 million for the National Mall, including grass planting.
•$400 million for “National Treasures.”
•$20 million for the removal of small to medium size fish passage barriers
•$25 million to rehabilitate off-road ATV trails, and
•$400 million in STD prevention
